Ulrich Kemloh, PhD (Koegni-eHealth Innovation for Development and Hamburg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, Germany)

Dr. -Ing. Ulrich Kemloh is a computer scientist and health informatics expert based in Hamburg, Germany. He holds an engineering degree in computer science from the Hamburg University of Technology and PhD degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wuppertal and the Research Center Jülich, Germany.

He currently leads the department of “Data management, Datamining and Telematik” at the  Hamburg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians “Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg (KVH)”.

He was before researcher at the Julich Supercomputing Center, where he conducted simulation and analysis of pedestrians’ movements in emergency situations. He holds the “Prize of Excellent Research” from the Research Center Jülich.

Dr.-Ing. Kemloh is CIO of the NGO Koegni-eHealth Innovation for Development, which is publishing the Journal of Health Informatics in Africa (JHIA). He is also a member of the Working Group “Data Mining and Big Data Analytics” of the Pan African Health Informatics Association (HELINA).
