Georges Nguefack Tsague, PhD (Department of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Yaounde I, Cameroon)

Dr. Georges Nguefack-Nguefack is an Associate Professor of BioStatistics and Health Informatics at the University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics (University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon), an MA in Statistics (ISSEA, Yaoundé, Cameroon), an MSc and a PhD in Statistics respectively from the Universities of Namur (Belgium) and Goettingen (Germany). Prior to join the Department of Statistics of the University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain) where he was previously lecturer of Statistics, he started his professional career with the Cameroon National Institute of Statistics. His main area of interest includes Theoretical Statistics, Modelling, Applied Statistics in various fields, and Health Informatics. He has been reviewer for various scientific journals and is currently an associate editorial board member of The Open Mathematics, Statistics and Probability Journal; and also member of the TDR/WHO/IDDO’ Ebola Data Platform Data Access Committee (DAC).

Dr. Nguefack-Tsague is leading the Working Group “Data Mining and Big Data Analytics” of the Pan African Health Informatics Association (HELINA).

He is author of more than 60 publications in peer reviewed journal, and also Knight of the Order of Cameroonian Merit.
